The Mehlville School District received a score of 99% on the latest bus inspections performed by the Missouri Highway Patrol.  102 buses were inspected on Friday, February 16th.

The team of officers checked out the lights, brakes, tires, exhaust systems, emergency equipment and even inspected for rust on the vehicles.  On just one bus a relative minor problem was found, and quickly fixed.

The near perfect score is the result of constant attention all year by drivers and mechanics.  “We take our jobs very seriously,” said Transportation Director Dan Gilman.  “The community expects nothing but the best when it comes to transporting students to and from school.  Drivers personally inspect their vehicles before every run, and that helps prevent problems before they happen.”
